1. What Information We Collect
a. No Account Required
AI Smart Cleaner does not require account creation. I do not directly collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifying information.
b. Device & Technical Information (Collected Automatically)
- Device model, brand, OS version, screen resolution
- App version, system language, RAM and storage capacity
- Internet connection type (WiFi/Mobile data)
- Advertising ID (for personalized ads; can be reset in device settings)
- IP address (used only for internet speed test; not stored)
c. Storage & File Metadata (Processed Locally on Device)
- File names, sizes, paths, and modification dates (for junk/duplicate detection)
- Contact data, read only to detect duplicate contacts (never uploaded)
- WhatsApp media folders to identify redundant media (never uploaded)
d. AI Assistant Chat Data
- Your text messages are sent to DeepSeek/OpenAI servers to generate responses
- No photos, files, or personal data from your device are sent
- No storage data is shared with AI APIs
- The AI only receives the text you type and nothing more
e. Crash & Analytics Data
Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymous crash reports. Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics. Neither service receives your personal files or storage content.

4. AI Assistant – DeepSeek & ChatGPT API
- What is sent: Only the text message you type in the chat box
- What is not sent: Your files, photos, contacts, storage data, or device information
- Who receives it: DeepSeek AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) servers
- Purpose: To generate helpful responses about storage optimization
- Retention: Subject to DeepSeek’s and OpenAI’s own data retention policies
5. Advertising – Facebook & AppLovin
- Facebook Audience Network may show personalized ads based on your Advertising ID
- AppLovin may show personalized or contextual ads
- AdMob (Google) may show ads based on device information
How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads:
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization
- Facebook: Facebook App > Settings > Ads > Ad Preferences

I do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Advertisers receive aggregated, anonymized signals, not your files or personal content.

8. Secret Space / Private Vault
The Secret Space feature stores photos, videos, audio, and documents in an AES-256 encrypted vault on your device, protected by PIN or biometric authentication.
- All files in Secret Space are encrypted on-device only
- No files are uploaded, backed up, or transmitted anywhere
- The Decoy PIN feature is processed entirely on-device
- If you uninstall the app, files in Secret Space may be permanently lost, so back them up first
9. Security & Virus Scanner
- The app reads the list of installed applications on your device
- App signatures are compared against a locally cached threat database
- The installed app list may be sent to a security database for cloud-based threat verification
- No personal files or documents are sent during security scans
I employ industry-standard security practices. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

12. Children's Privacy
AI Smart Cleaner is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If discovered, such data will be deleted immediately.
